USES: a selective absorption and transmitting herbicide, the active ingredients can spread quickly in water, it was absorbed by root and leaf, then transfer to all parts of weeds, block the biosynthesis of officinalis acid, leucine, isoleucine, and also cell's growth.

The weed's growth was hindered, the tender leaf yellowing untimely, this lead to  necrosis of root. It's safe to rice when the active ingredients was absorbed , it will metabolized into inert compound in rice body.
